METHODOLOGY
How we approach your needs
When I work with a new client who is looking for instructional design, I typically follow a process that includes the following steps:

-
Analysis: I first analyze your needs and goals. This includes understanding the learner's needs, the desired learning outcomes, and the resources that are available.
-
Design: Next I design the curriculum. This includes creating a learning plan, selecting instructional materials, and developing assessments.
-
Development: After this I develop the curriculum. This includes creating or adapting instructional materials, developing assessments, and creating a learning environment.
-
Implementation: I then implement the curriculum. This includes delivering instruction, providing support to learners, and collecting data on learner progress.
-
Evaluation: I evaluate the curriculum. This includes collecting data on learner outcomes and making recommendations for improvement.

CURRENT METHODOLOGIES

ADDIE
The ADDIE model is a five-step instructional design model that stands for Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The ADDIE model is a linear process, meaning that each step is completed before moving on to the next step.

SAM
The SAM model is a seven-step instructional design model that stands for Situation, Analysis, Needs, Goals, Objectives, Methods, and Evaluation. The SAM model is a more iterative process, meaning that we may go back and forth between steps as needed.
We will typically choose a model that is most appropriate for the specific project. However, both models can be effective in creating high-quality instructional materials.
In addition to following a specific model, we will also use a variety of tools and techniques to create an effective curriculum. These tools and techniques may include:
-
Needs assessment
-
Task analysis
-
Bloom's taxonomy
-
Instructional strategies
-
Assessment strategies
-
Learning environment design
By following a systematic process and using a variety of tools and techniques, I can create an effective curriculum that meets the needs of the learner and achieves the desired learning outcomes.
